Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 19) ➊ { وَاَنْلَّاتَعْلُوْاعَلَىاللّٰهِ:} And do not exalt yourselves before Allah, do not rebel against Him. That is, your not believing in me is in fact rebellion against Allah, because the One who sent me is He, and whatever I have said to you is not my own word but the word of Allah, which I am conveying to you with complete trustworthiness. Secondly, to make someone else’s servant your own servant is a great act of rebellion, which you have committed by making Allah’s servants your own slaves in opposition to Him, so abandon this rebellion and set them free. ➋ { اِنِّيْۤاٰتِيْكُمْبِسُلْطٰنٍمُّبِيْنٍ:} That is, if you doubt that I have been sent by Allah, then I am going to present a clear proof from Allah of my being His Messenger, after which you will have no doubt left regarding my messengership. {’’ بِسُلْطٰنٍمُّبِيْنٍ ‘‘} Although it is indefinite, but because it is a generic noun, it does not refer to only one proof, but to all the miracles from the staff of Musa to all those miracles which Musa (peace be upon him) kept showing from the first time he came to Pharaoh until the last moment of his stay in Egypt.
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
19. 1. That is, do not express your arrogance and rebellion before Allah by denying obedience to His Messenger. 19. 2. This is the reason for the previous statement: that I have brought such a clear proof with me, for which there is no room for denial.
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
19. And, "Do not be arrogant against Allah [14]. I bring you a clear proof."
[14] That is, when I am presenting before you a clear proof or such miracles from Allah which are clear evidence of my being His Messenger, then whatever I am presenting in my invitation is in fact the invitation of Allah Himself. If you oppose me and become rebellious, then in reality this is equivalent to rebellion and defiance against Allah Himself. Now think for yourselves: after rebelling against Allah, can you escape His grasp?
