إِنَّا كَاشِفُوا۟ ٱلْعَذَابِ قَلِيلًا ۚ إِنَّكُمْ عَآئِدُونَ ﴿15﴾
Verily, We shall remove the torment for a while. Verily you will revert (to disbelief).

(Ayah 15) {اِنَّا كَاشِفُوا الْعَذَابِ قَلِيْلًا … :} That is, by the supplication of your Messenger, We are the ones to remove the punishment from you for a short period, so that the reality of your promise to believe may become evident and the proof may be established against you, even though We know that when the punishment is removed, you will return to doing what you used to do before.

15. We will remove the punishment for a little while, but you will surely return [10] to your old ways.

[10] That is, even if We remove this famine punishment from them for a while, they will return to the same actions they used to do before, and will start searching for natural causes of the famine. Yet, they will not realize that they received this punishment as a consequence of their mischief.
