Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

The meaning of (Ayah 79){ اَمْ اَبْرَمُوْۤا اَمْرًا فَاِنَّا مُبْرِمُوْنَ: ’’إِبْرَامٌ‘‘} is to make something firm and strong. Originally, it is used for twisting a rope tightly. It is stated: {’’أَبْرَمَ فُلَانٌ الْحَبْلَ‘‘} “So-and-so twisted the rope very firmly.” That is, they have made a firm plan for something and have made a definite decision about it. By this is meant the decisions made by the disbelievers in their secret gatherings, which they made against Islam and the Muslims, to the extent that they made a firm decision to imprison, kill, or expel the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) from Makkah. (See Al-Anfal: 30) It is stated, they made a firm resolve for such a matter, so We also make a firm plan. Then everyone saw how they failed and were disappointed, and how the religion of Allah prevailed.

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

79. 1. That is, those inhabitants of Hell not only disliked the truth but also made organized plans and conspiracies against it. In response, We also devised Our own plan, and whose plan can be stronger than Ours?

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

Or have they resolved upon some plan? If so, We too are planning.

[74] The action of the disbelievers of Makkah was that they would never let the call of Islam flourish. To stop this call, sometimes they would impose restrictions on Muslims reciting the Quran aloud, and sometimes they would blame themselves, saying that the spread of Islam was due to their own negligence and laziness. Sometimes they would meet with visitors coming to Makkah and say, "Do not go near the person who claims to be a prophet, for he sows discord among relatives." And sometimes they would plot to kill the Prophet of Islam. In short, this sentence mentions all the hostile activities of the disbelievers of Makkah. And whatever schemes they devised, Allah’s secret plan would render all their efforts futile. Eventually, all their schemes failed, their hearts continued to burn, and Islam kept gaining dominance.
