Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 42,41) {فَاِمَّا نَذْهَبَنَّ بِكَ فَاِنَّا مِنْهُمْ … :} This is also another way of consoling the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) that these disbelievers who are waiting for your death and are constantly trying and plotting to kill you in one way or another, they think that your death will solve their problem and everything will turn in their favor. He (Allah) said that their assumption is wrong, because if We take you to Ourselves, even then they will not escape punishment; rather, We will surely take revenge on them in every case. Or, if during your lifetime We show you some part of the punishment We have promised them, that too is not far-fetched, because We have full power over them. And so it happened: Allah Almighty showed the punishment meted out to the disbelievers in Badr and other battles to you (peace be upon him) with your own eyes. See also Surah Al-Mu’min (77).

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

41. 1. That is, death comes to you before punishment comes upon them, or they expel you from Makkah.
41. 2. If Our will requires it in this world; otherwise, from the punishment of the Hereafter, they can in no way escape.
