وَجَعَلُوا۟ لَهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ جُزْءًا ۚ إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ لَكَفُورٌ مُّبِينٌ ﴿15﴾
Yet, they assign to some of His slaves a share with Him (by pretending that He has children, and considering them as equals or co-partners in worship with Him). Verily, man is indeed a manifest ingrate!
وَجَعَلُوا۟ wajaʿalū But they attribute

(Ayah 15) ➊ { وَ جَعَلُوْا لَهٗ مِنْ عِبَادِهٖ جُزْءًا:} This verse is connected to verse (9): « وَ لَىِٕنْ سَاَلْتَهُمْ مَّنْ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضَ لَيَقُوْلُنَّ خَلَقَهُنَّ الْعَزِيْزُ الْعَلِيْمُ». Allah Almighty, making the Muslims wonder at the ignorance of the polytheists, says: Look, these people admit that Allah Almighty is the Creator of the heavens and the earth and the Manager of everything in them, who is separate from creation and in no way in need of anything. Yet they assign partners and offspring to Him. They do not even understand that the One who has the power to create the heavens and the earth is not in need of anyone for help or companionship, because both are signs of deficiency. Then look at the injustice that they declare slaves (‘ibad) as offspring, whereas offspring can never be slaves, because they are a part of the father. If anyone is proven to be a part of Allah, then Allah Almighty’s need for him is also proven. In {’’ عِبَادِهٖ ‘‘}, angels, jinn, and humans are all included. The Jews and Christians declared ‘Uzayr and the Messiah as sons of Allah, and some so-called Muslims declared the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) to be a piece of Allah’s light, and some said that the Panjtan were created from Allah’s light. See the commentary of Surah Tawbah, verse (30). The polytheists used to declare the angels as daughters of Allah Almighty. They had made their idols in the form of women. These were the goddesses whom they worshipped.
{ اِنَّ الْاِنْسَانَ لَكَفُوْرٌ مُّبِيْنٌ:} Man is clearly ungrateful because the Lord who created him, created the earth and the heavens and the entire universe, instead of expressing gratitude by accepting His oneness and worshipping Him alone, he declared His servants as His offspring, thus associating them with Him not only in attributes but also in His essence.

15. 1. By "عِبَاد" is meant the angels, and by "جُزْء" is meant daughters, that is, the angels, whom the polytheists considered to be Allah's daughters and worshipped them. In this way, they regarded the creation as a partner of Allah and as a part of Him.

15. Yet they have made some of His servants a part [14] of Him. Surely, man is clearly ungrateful.

[14] These were Allah's favors upon His servants; what should have been is that man, in return for these favors and blessings of Allah, would be grateful and acknowledge His kindness. But not only did he show ingratitude towards Allah, he went even further in his wrongdoing by dividing up His essence and attributes, and made various things partners and equals to Him in His essence and attributes. He declared that Allah has children, even though Allah is the Creator and Owner of everything, while children are neither created nor owned. Children are of the same kind and a part of the parent. In this way, they divided the essence of Allah, the Most Glorified, into several parts.
