Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 53) ➊ {صِرَاطِاللّٰهِالَّذِيْلَهٗمَافِيالسَّمٰوٰتِوَمَافِيالْاَرْضِ:} That is, the straight path is the one by which a person reaches Allah, the Owner of the heavens and the earth, and it is known only through divine revelation. All other paths are the paths of Satan, which are deviated from Allah. See Surah An-Nahl (9).
➋ { اَلَاۤاِلَىاللّٰهِتَصِيْرُالْاُمُوْرُ:} That is, the management of all affairs of this world and the Hereafter returns only to Allah. Apparently, someone may be managing a matter, and people may consider it someone’s achievement, but in reality, the management of all affairs is the work of Allah alone. See Surah Yunus (3, 31), Ar-Ra’d (2), and As-Sajdah (5). “All affairs return to Allah” also includes that on the Day of Resurrection, all good and bad deeds of the servants will be presented before Allah, He alone will decide them, and He will reward the righteous and punish the wicked. Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
53. 1. This straight path is Islam. Allah has attributed it to Himself, which clarifies the greatness and majesty of this path and also points to it being the only way of salvation.
53. 2. That is, on the Day of Resurrection, all matters will be decided by Allah alone; in this is a severe warning.
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
53. The path of Allah [77], to Whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. Be aware! All matters return to Allah [78].
[77] That is, the path which this Quran shows and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ guides towards, is the very path of that Allah who is the Sovereign of the universe. By walking on this path, a person reaches Allah Almighty, and whoever strays from this path, that is not the path of Allah; all other paths are the paths of Satan. [78] That is, not only humans, but the outcome of their deeds and actions and all other matters are in the hands of Allah alone. Therefore, a person should, with full consciousness and awareness, choose the path in this world that leads straight to the court of Allah.
