Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 52){ قُلْاَرَءَيْتُمْاِنْكَانَمِنْعِنْدِاللّٰهِثُمَّكَفَرْتُمْبِهٖ … :} This entire Surah of the Noble Qur’an is filled with proofs of the truth of the Noble Qur'an, monotheism, prophethood, and the Hereafter, which the disbelievers not only refused to accept but were not even willing to listen to, as mentioned in verse (5): « وَقَالُوْاقُلُوْبُنَافِيْۤاَكِنَّةٍ » “And they said, ‘Our hearts are within coverings from that.’” And in verse (26): « وَقَالَالَّذِيْنَكَفَرُوْالَاتَسْمَعُوْالِهٰذَاالْقُرْاٰنِ» “And those who disbelieved said, ‘Do not listen to this Qur’an.’” So, at the end of the Surah, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was commanded to say to them: How can you declare the Qur’an to be false or a lie when you are not even willing to listen to it? Because you can only call it false if you listen to it, then if it is true, accept it, otherwise, declare it false with proof; you do not have the courage for even this much. This clearly shows that you are not certain of its falsehood, otherwise, something whose falsehood is absolutely clear does not require such a strict prohibition on listening to it. This shows that even in your minds, there is a possibility of its truth. Therefore, tell me: this Qur’an, which you are not even willing to listen to, if it really is the truth from Allah, and without listening or understanding you denied it, and in this state death came to you, then the Resurrection will be established—at that time you will have fallen into such distant opposition, which is a very far-off opposition, from which even if you wish, return will not be possible. Then, who can be more astray than one who stubbornly persists in such unnecessary and wrong opposition, from which return is not possible? The purpose of the verse is to encourage the disbelievers to be willing to listen and reflect, and to warn them of the time when the harm of their opposition will not be able to be remedied.
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
52. 1. That is, in such a state, who can be more astray and more of an enemy than you? 52. 2. The meaning of "شقاق" is stubbornness, hostility, and opposition. The addition of "بعید" intensifies it further. That is, one who acts with extreme opposition and hostility, to the extent that he even denies the Quran revealed by Allah—who can be more astray and wretched than such a person?
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
Say, "Have you considered: if this Qur'an is from Allah [70] and you disbelieved in it, who is more astray than one who is in extreme opposition?"
[70] How Are the Deniers of the Hereafter at Loss?
If the belief in resurrection after death and standing before Allah, as presented in this Quran, is a solid reality, then tell me what will become of you? Suppose, according to your assumption, all humans die and mix with the dust and that is the end of man—then what harm will come to the one who believes in the Day of Judgment? And if the word of the Quran turns out to be true and you have to be present before your Lord, then tell me, is there any limit to your misguidance, as a result of which you will inevitably have to suffer the punishment of Hell?
