Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 85,84) {فَلَمَّا رَاَوْا بَاْسَنَا قَالُوْۤا اٰمَنَّا بِاللّٰهِ وَحْدَهٗ …:} For the explanation of these two verses, see Surah An-Nisa (18), Al-An'am (158), and Surah Yunus (51, 90, 91).

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. 84. And when they saw Our punishment [104], they said, "We believe in Allah alone and we reject all that we used to associate with Him."

[104] The first condition of faith is belief in the unseen, and when the punishment is witnessed or at the time of death, then all realities come into observation; nothing remains unseen. And everyone believes in what is witnessed, whether they are disbelievers, atheists, or polytheists. Therefore, bringing faith after witnessing the punishment or after the signs of death have begun is of no benefit. In fact, in such a case, even the use of the word "faith" for this observation does not seem correct.
