Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 57) {لَخَلْقُالسَّمٰوٰتِوَالْاَرْضِاَكْبَرُمِنْخَلْقِالنَّاسِ …:} From here, those fundamental beliefs are once again being proven with arguments which the disbelievers deny and for which they engage in contentious debate and dispute. The disbelievers of Quraysh and their like-minded people, while denying the Resurrection, used to say that when we die and become dust, how is it possible that we will be brought back to life? According to them, this is simply not possible and reason in no way accepts it. Allah Almighty said, surely, creating the heavens and the earth without any model and without any pre-existing material is a far greater task than creating humans for the first time or bringing them back to life again. So, the One who created such lofty and vast heavens with their countless creatures, limitless galaxies, and planets, and who created such a great earth with its countless creatures, how can it be difficult for Him to bring humans back to life? Obviously, for the One who makes great things, making something smaller is absolutely easy, but most people do not know even such a clear and simple matter, and they keep saying, how can we be brought back to life after becoming dust? Allah Almighty has mentioned the creation of the heavens and the earth as evidence for the resurrection of humans at numerous places. See Surah Ya-Sin (81), As-Saffat (11), Bani Isra'il (99), Al-Ahqaf (33), and An-Nazi'at (27 to 33).
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
57. 1. That is, then why are they denying this matter that Allah Almighty can resurrect humans again? Whereas this task is much easier than the creation of the heavens and the earth.
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
The creation of the heavens and the earth is certainly greater than the creation of mankind, but most people do not know [75].
[75] From here begins the series of verses about which these people used to argue. Among them, the issue of resurrection after death is taken up first. And the question is based on the fact that the disbelievers of Makkah accepted that Allah Almighty is the Creator of the heavens and the earth. And the question is: if Allah Almighty can create such a massive creation, then can He not recreate man? This, in fact, is a rational argument that such a thing is certainly possible.
