Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 42) ➊ {تَدْعُوْنَنِيْ لِاَكْفُرَ بِاللّٰهِ … :} That is, I have believed in Allah and I have certain knowledge that He has no partner, and you are inviting me to disbelieve in Allah and to associate with Him those beings of whom I have no knowledge. The meaning of having no knowledge is that they do not exist anywhere, so how can I blindly accept such beings.

{ وَ اَنَا اَدْعُوْكُمْ اِلَى الْعَزِيْزِ الْغَفَّارِ:} And I invite you to that Exalted Being who is dominant over all; no one can escape His grasp. Despite this, He is not oppressive or tyrannical, rather He greatly conceals the sins of His obedient servants and forgives them, therefore He alone is worthy of worship.

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

42. 1. The Mighty, the Dominant, who is capable of taking revenge on the disbelievers and punishing them; the Forgiving, who pardons the mistakes and shortcomings of His followers and conceals them. Whereas those whom you are calling me to worship are utterly insignificant and inferior things; they can neither hear nor respond, nor are they capable of bringing benefit to anyone or causing harm.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

You invite me to disbelieve in Allah and to associate with Him that of which I have no knowledge [55], while I invite you to the All-Mighty, the All-Forgiving.

[55] You want me, like you, to bow my head before the sun deity and worship the cow mother. To the best of my knowledge, you cannot present any rational argument for the worship of such things, nor can you prove from any revealed book that these things are worthy of worship. This is nothing but the blind following of ancestral traditions. Then you also want me to become a cog in a system of government that has set itself against the messengers and, by fueling class divisions, is inflicting countless atrocities upon the Children of Israel. I am utterly averse to these things. Instead, I invite you to the worship and obedience of that Lord who not only created everything in the universe but also has complete control over them. And whoever turns to Him, He also forgives his sins.
