Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 33) ➊ { يَوْمَتُوَلُّوْنَمُدْبِرِيْنَ:} In this, the condition of {’’ يَوْمَالتَّنَادِ ‘‘} is described, that this is the day in which you will turn your backs and flee from the punishment of Allah. ➋ { مَالَكُمْمِّنَاللّٰهِمِنْعَاصِمٍ:} But there will be no one to save you from Allah, that is, from His punishment, as He said: «يَقُوْلُالْاِنْسَانُيَوْمَىِٕذٍاَيْنَالْمَفَرُّ (10) كَلَّالَاوَزَرَ (11) اِلٰىرَبِّكَيَوْمَىِٕذٍالْمُسْتَقَرُّ »[ القیامۃ : ۱۰ تا ۱۲ ] "Man will say that day, 'Where is the place to escape?' Never! There is no place of refuge. That day, the final return is only to your Lord." ➌ { وَمَنْيُّضْلِلِاللّٰهُفَمَالَهٗمِنْهَادٍ:} That is, I have given you the advice, but due to your stubbornness and hostility, if Allah has intended to leave you in misguidance, then whomever Allah leads astray, there is no one to guide him. See Surah Al-Baqarah (2:26, 27).
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
33. 1 That is, from the position (the field of resurrection) you will go towards Hell, or after the reckoning you will flee from there.
33. 2 Who can show him the path of guidance, that is, can make him walk on it.
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
33. The Day when you will turn your backs and flee, but there will be no one to protect you from Allah [47]. And whomever Allah leads astray, there is no guide for him.
[47] This could refer to the Day of Resurrection, or to the day when punishment descends upon a nation. But at that time, even if someone wants to turn their back and flee, they will never be able to escape Allah's grasp.
