Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 45,44) ➊ { اَلَمْتَرَاِلَىالَّذِيْنَاُوْتُوْانَصِيْبًا:} After warning about the behavior of the polytheists in «{ وَاعْبُدُوااللّٰهَوَلَاتُشْرِكُوْابِهٖشَيْـًٔا }», and then mentioning some necessary issues in between, such as alcohol, prayer, and tayammum, etc., the mention of the deceit and enmity of the Jews has now begun in detail. The Jews were also jealous of the Muslims even in the matter of tayammum. Because of this jealousy, instead of becoming Muslims themselves, they wished that the Muslims would also become disbelievers. Thus, Allah Almighty said: «{ وَدَّكَثِيْرٌمِّنْاَهْلِالْكِتٰبِلَوْيَرُدُّوْنَكُمْمِّنْۢبَعْدِاِيْمَانِكُمْكُفَّارًاحَسَدًامِّنْعِنْدِاَنْفُسِهِمْ }»[ البقرۃ : ۱۰۹ ] "Many of the People of the Book wish that, after your faith, they could turn you back into disbelievers, out of envy from their own hearts."
➋ { اُوْتُوْانَصِيْبًامِّنَالْكِتٰبِ:} That is, they have received only a part of the Book, the rest they have lost, and it also means that the part they have received, they have only received its words, not the portion of action, and also that in the Torah they recognized the prophethood of Musa (Moses) (peace be upon him), but could not recognize the prophethood of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf

This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
44. Have you not considered the case of those who were given a portion of the Book [77], yet they purchase misguidance and wish that you too would stray from the right path?
[77] In one aspect, because the Jewish scholars had lost a portion of the Divine Book, and even what remained, they had altered and distorted through interpretation and manipulation, turning it into something else. All their interests and abilities became confined to outward words, verbal debates, legalistic hair-splitting, and philosophical complexities. However, their hearts and minds were devoid of the Divine intent and the spirit of religiosity, and they wished to entangle the Muslims in such misleading matters as well. 45. Allah knows your enemies well. For your protection and help, Allah alone is sufficient.
