But those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism) and do deeds of righteousness, We shall admit them to the Gardens under which rivers flow (i.e. in Paradise) to dwell therein forever. Allâh’s Promise is the Truth; and whose words can be truer than those of Allâh? (Of course, none).

Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 122) Just as Satan makes promises to his followers, likewise Allah also makes promises of Paradise and high ranks to His righteous servants, and who can be truer in promise and word than Allah, as He said: «{ وَ مَنْ اَصْدَقُ مِنَ اللّٰهِ حَدِيْثًا [ النساء : ۸۷ ] "And who is truer in word than Allah."

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

122. 1. The promises of Satan are nothing but deception and fraud, but in contrast, the promises that Allah has made to the believers are true and just, and who can be more truthful than Allah? But the matter of man is also strange. He accepts the words of the truthful less and follows the liars more. Just observe that satanic things are widespread, and those who adopt divine deeds have always been few in every era and every place, and they are still few.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

122. And those who believe and do righteous deeds, We will admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever. This is the true promise of Allah, and who is truer in word than Allah [162]?

[162] Here, the mention of the believers and Paradise is brought in accordance with the practice of Allah Almighty that wherever warning (tarheeb) is mentioned, encouragement (targheeb) is also mentioned alongside it, and wherever encouragement is mentioned, warning is also generally mentioned in the Noble Quran. In the previous verses, the followers of Satan were mentioned, and it was explained that all of Satan’s promises and hopes are nothing but deception and fraud. In contrast to this, it is stated that the Paradise which Allah has promised to the believers is absolutely true, and who can be truer than Allah? The good and bad consequences of people’s deeds that He has informed about, and the conditions of Paradise and Hell that He has described, all are before His sight. The barriers of time and space are for us, and Paradise and Hell are unseen for us, but for Allah Almighty, all matters are manifest and present. For Him, time and space are nothing.
