Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 106){ وَاسْتَغْفِرِاللّٰهَ … :} That is, seek forgiveness for the support you have given. Another meaning that the commentators have given is that seek forgiveness from Allah for these sinners. From this, it is understood that sometimes a judge, due to the eloquence of one party, gives a verdict in their favor, but that will not be correct in the sight of Allah. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Beware! I am only a human being, and I give judgment according to what I hear. It is possible that a person is clever and skillful in presenting his argument and evidence, and I am influenced by his speech and give a verdict in his favor, even though he is not upon the truth, and in this way, I give him the right of another Muslim. He should remember that it is a piece of fire; now it is up to him whether he takes it or leaves it." [ بخاری، المظالم، باب إثم من خاصم… : ۲۴۵۸ ]

The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
16. 1. That is, without investigation, for having supported those who commit treachery, seek forgiveness from Allah for this. From this, it is understood that as long as there is no complete certainty about which of the two parties is on the truth, it is not permissible to support or advocate for anyone. Furthermore, if any party, through deception, fraud, or eloquence, manages to get a decision in their favor from the court or the competent authority, while they are not entitled to it, then such a decision holds no significance with Allah. The Prophet ﷺ explained this matter in a hadith as follows: Beware! I am only a human being, and I decide according to what I hear. It is possible that a person is clever and sharp in presenting his argument and I am influenced by his speech and give a verdict in his favor, while he is not on the truth, and thus I give him the right of another Muslim. He should remember that this is a piece of fire. It is up to him whether he takes it or leaves it. (Sahih Bukhari)
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani

The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
106. And seek forgiveness [145] from Allah. Surely, Allah is Ever-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
[145] The judge is bound to decide on the basis of apparent testimonies; in this regard, even if you had given a verdict in favor of the Ansari, there would have been no fault on your part. However, due to the greatness of your status, you have been instructed to seek forgiveness, because an incorrect thought had begun to find its way into your mind.
