Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 74) ➊ {وَ قَالُوا الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ صَدَقَنَا وَعْدَهٗ:} When the people of Paradise enter Paradise, they will praise and thank their Lord and will acknowledge and declare that the promise He made: « اِنَّ الْمُتَّقِيْنَ فِيْ جَنّٰتٍ وَّ عُيُوْنٍ» [الذاریات : ۱۵ ] that indeed the righteous will be in gardens and springs (and other verses such as Maryam: 63), He has fulfilled that promise. See also Surah Al-A'raf (43, 44) and Surah Fatir (33 to 35).

{ وَ اَوْرَثَنَا الْاَرْضَ:} When a person becomes the heir of something, he becomes its complete owner, and no one else can lay claim to it. In addition, they will also be made owners of those places that belonged to the people destined for Hell, if they had done righteous deeds, and these ownership rights will be forever.

{نَتَبَوَّاُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ حَيْثُ نَشَآءُ:} Here is a question: If a person of Paradise wishes, can he make a place for himself in the homes of other people of Paradise? In response, Shah Abdul Qadir (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "They are commanded to live wherever they wish, but everyone will desire only the place that has already been set aside for him." (Mawduh) The detail is that every person of Paradise will have so much space that he will not need to take anyone else's place. Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that the person who enters Paradise after coming out of Hell will be granted by Allah a space equal to the earth and ten times as much with it. [ دیکھیے بخاري، الأذان، باب فضل السجود : ۸۰۶ ] Obviously, with so much space, only a mean person would desire someone else's place, whereas there is no room for meanness or a mean person in Paradise.

{ فَنِعْمَ اَجْرُ الْعٰمِلِيْنَ:} This statement will be said by the righteous, or by the angels, or it is the statement of Allah Almighty.

74. They will say: "All praise is for Allah, Who has fulfilled His promise to us and made us inherit this land [94], so that we may dwell in Paradise wherever we wish." How excellent [95] is the reward for those who do good!

[94]
Paradise as an Inheritance: Permanent and Proprietary Rights:

The inhabitants of Paradise will have proprietary rights there, so that in their own vast and allotted Paradise, they may reside wherever they find suitable according to their circumstances. Because the word "tabawwa’a" is used for residing in a place whose climate and environment are agreeable and suitable to the temperament of the dweller.
[95] This phrase can be attributed to the righteous themselves, that they will say this to one another. It can also be attributed to the angels, and to Allah Almighty.
