Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 48) {وَ بَدَا لَهُمْ سَيِّاٰتُ مَا كَسَبُوْا … :} And the evils of their deeds, that is, the evil consequences of their actions, will become apparent to them, and the very punishment they used to mock will surround them from all sides. [ أَعَاذَنَا اللّٰہُ مِنْہُ ]

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. How Does Disrespect Towards Allah Occur?

That is, the polytheists used to exaggerate the status of their deities, the result of which was that Allah would seem to be nothing in comparison to their deities. On the Day of Resurrection, they will come to know properly that all authority and power belong only to Allah, and their deities are completely powerless. On that day, they will witness with their own eyes the consequences of their disrespect towards Allah's majesty. And the very punishment of Allah, which they used to mock only because they denied the Hereafter, will surround them from all sides.
