Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 2) ➊ { اِنَّاۤ اَنْزَلْنَاۤ اِلَيْكَ الْكِتٰبَ بِالْحَقِّ :} "The Truth" is that which is exactly in accordance with reality. In this verse, further excellences of the Noble Qur’an are mentioned. One is that in the previous verse, this Book was described as revealed by Allah Almighty; now, the same thing is stated using the plural pronoun of majesty, which is intended to express the greatness of Himself and His Word. Secondly, that We have revealed this Book to you with the truth; every statement in it is correct, nothing is contrary to reality, therefore, acting upon it is obligatory.

{ فَاعْبُدِ اللّٰهَ مُخْلِصًا لَّهُ الدِّيْنَ :} The meaning of "Deen" is worship and obedience, as well as faith, Islam, and Ihsan, as mentioned in the Hadith of Jibreel. Ikhlas (sincerity) means that a person should intend and aim to please Allah Almighty in every word and deed. Shawkani said, this verse is evidence for the necessity of intention, and also that it should be pure from every kind of shirk (associating partners) and ostentation, because sincerity is related to the heart, and in an authentic hadith it is stated that all words and deeds depend on intention, as it is said: [ إِنَّمَا الْأَعْمَالُ بِالنِّيَّاتِ ] [ بخاري، بدء الوحي، باب کیف کان بدء الوحي… : ۱ ] "All actions are considered valid only with intentions." To make the religion pure for Allah means that a person should not include the worship of anyone else with the worship (servitude) of Allah, but should worship only Him, follow only His guidance, and act only upon His commands.

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

2. 1. That is, the affirmation of monotheism and messengership, the Hereafter, and commands and obligations that has been established in this, all of it is true, and in accepting and adopting these lies the salvation of mankind.

2. 2. The meaning of "deen" here is worship and obedience, and "ikhlas" means to perform good deeds solely with the intention of pleasing Allah. The verse is evidence for the obligation of intention and its sincerity. The importance of sincerity of intention has also been clarified in the hadith by stating that إِنَّمَا الأَعْمَالُ بِالنِّيَّاتِ 'The foundation of deeds is upon intentions,' meaning that any good deed done for the pleasure of Allah (provided it is according to the Sunnah) will be accepted, and any deed in which there is a mixture of any other motive will not be accepted.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

[2] That is, this book was not revealed so that its verses may be mocked, but rather it was sent down so that positive and constructive results may be achieved from it, which everyone can witness with their own eyes. Its second meaning is that whatever is mentioned in it is based on solid realities.
