Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 19){ اَفَمَنْ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِ كَلِمَةُ الْعَذَابِ …:} So, is the one upon whom the word of punishment has been established (due to following the devil, insisting on disbelief, stubbornness, and hostility), and whom Allah has decided to cast into the Fire (see Surah Sad: 85)—so, O Prophet! Will you save the one who is in the Fire? No! You will never be able to save him. Then, if you cannot save him, who else is there who can save him from the Fire? In this, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) is being comforted that indeed, your intense desire is that everyone should believe, but granting or withholding the ability to believe is not in your control, rather it is in the hand of Allah, as He said: « اِنَّكَ لَا تَهْدِيْ مَنْ اَحْبَبْتَ » [ القصص : ۵۶ ] “Indeed, you do not guide whom you love.”

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

19. 1. Since the Prophet ﷺ had an intense desire that all the people of his nation should embrace faith, in this Allah Almighty consoled the Prophet ﷺ and informed him that you are absolutely right and justified in your own place, but the one over whom his destiny has prevailed and Allah's word has been established against him, you are not able to save him from the fire of Hell.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

19. Is then the one against whom the word of punishment has been justified—(O Prophet), can you rescue [29] such a person who is in the Fire?

[29] That is, can those people upon whom the decree of punishment has been established due to their enmity, stubbornness, obstinacy, and misdeeds, ever adopt the path of guidance? Can such wretched people, who have fallen into the Fire because of these corruptions, be brought to the right path by you or anyone else, and can they be taken out of the Fire?
