Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 71 to 74) ➊ { اِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلٰٓىِٕكَةِ… :} This is a mention of a discussion that took place in the exalted assembly regarding the creation of Adam (peace be upon him). Iblis was also present in this gathering along with the angels, and he too was commanded to prostrate before Adam (peace be upon him). For details, see Surah Al-A'raf (11). Mufassir Razi said: "The relevance of mentioning this story here in particular is that what prevented the disbelievers from believing in the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was their envy and arrogance. The reason for the curse upon Iblis was also his envy and arrogance towards Adam (peace be upon him), so this story was narrated to the disbelievers."

➋ The details of Allah Almighty creating Adam (peace be upon him) from clay, breathing His spirit into him, commanding the angels to prostrate before Adam, Iblis's refusal to prostrate, and the consequences thereof have already been mentioned in several places before. For example, see Surah Al-Baqarah (30 to 38), Al-Hijr (25 to 43), Al-A'raf (11 to 25), Bani Isra'il (61 to 65), Al-Kahf (50), and Surah Ta-Ha (116 to 123).

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

71. 1 This story has previously been mentioned in Surah Al-Baqarah, Surah Al-A'raf, Surah Al-Hijr, Surah Bani Isra'il, and Surah Al-Kahf, and now it is being briefly mentioned here as well.

71. 2 That is, I am going to create a body of the human kind. Man is called "bashar" because of his direct connection with the earth. That is, all his attachment is with the earth and he does everything on this earth. Or because he is "badi' al-bashara," meaning his body or face is apparent.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
