43. 2 That is, everything was granted to Ayub (علیہ السلام) again; besides being a manifestation of His special mercy, the second purpose is that people of understanding may take admonition from this, and that they too may show patience in trials and hardships just as Ayub (علیہ السلام) did.

[49] It may also mean that the wives and children who had left him during your illness returned to you. Then Allah granted you more children as well. And all of this, both children and wealth, Allah the Exalted granted anew. The miraculous manner in which Allah granted you wealth can also be understood from the following hadith:
Allah’s Blessings Upon Sayyiduna Ayyub:
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairahؓ says that the Prophetﷺ said: When Ayyubؑ was bathing naked, a shower of golden locusts fell upon him, which he began gathering in his garment. Allah the Exalted called out to him, “O Ayyub! Did I not make you independent of these locusts?” He replied, “Yes, but O my Lord! How can I be independent of Your blessing?” [بخاري۔ كتاب التوحيد۔ باب يريدون ان يبدلوا كلام الله نيز كتاب الغسل۔ باب من اغتسل عريانا]

The Patience of Ayyub:
The advice is that every believer and person of understanding should thank Allah in times of prosperity, and if he is tested and faces hardship, he should show patience like Sayyiduna Ayyubؑ. In this way, it is quite possible that just as Allah the Exalted showered His blessings upon Sayyiduna Ayyubؑ, Allah the Exalted may also bestow such blessings upon him.
