وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ ﴿78﴾
And left for him (a goodly remembrance) among the later generations:
وَتَرَكْنَا wataraknā And We left

78. 1. That is, among the believers who will come until the Day of Resurrection, We have left the good mention of Nuh (عليه السلام), and all of them send peace upon Nuh (عليه السلام) and will continue to do so.

78. And We left for him a good mention [46] among later generations.

[46] That is, the name of Sayyiduna Nuh ؑ will continue to be mentioned with goodness as long as the world exists. Thus, all the nations currently inhabiting the world trace their lineage back to Sayyiduna Nuh ؑ and take pride in it. Moreover, most nations accept him as their religious leader. Even the Magians of Iran and the Sabeans acknowledge him as their prophet.
