(Ayah 67) {ثُمَّاِنَّلَهُمْعَلَيْهَالَشَوْبًامِّنْحَمِيْمٍ : ’’شَابَيَشُوْبُشَوْبًا‘‘} (n) to mix. {’’ حَمِيْمٍ ‘‘} Extremely hot water, that is, after eating Zaqqoom, they will feel such a dreadful thirst that they will be compelled to drink extremely hot water, which will be so intensely hot that it will tear their intestines into pieces. It is stated: « وَسُقُوْامَآءًحَمِيْمًافَقَطَّعَاَمْعَآءَهُمْ »[ محمد : ۱۵ ] "And they will be given boiling water to drink so it will cut up their intestines." The same subject is also mentioned in Surah Al-Waqi'ah (51 to 55).

67. 1. That is, after eating, they will feel thirsty, so boiling water will be given to them, by drinking which their intestines will be cut apart (مَثَلُالْجَنَّةِالَّتِيْوُعِدَالْمُتَّقُوْنَ ۭ فِيْهَآاَنْهٰرٌمِّنْمَّاۗءٍغَيْرِاٰسِنٍ ۚ وَاَنْهٰرٌمِّنْلَّبَنٍلَّمْيَتَغَيَّرْطَعْمُهٗ ۚ وَاَنْهٰرٌمِّنْخَمْرٍلَّذَّةٍلِّلشّٰرِبِيْنَ ڬ وَاَنْهٰرٌمِّنْعَسَلٍمُّصَفًّى ۭ وَلَهُمْفِيْهَامِنْكُلِّالثَّمَرٰتِوَمَغْفِرَةٌمِّنْرَّبِّهِمْ ۭ كَمَنْهُوَخَالِدٌفِيالنَّارِوَسُقُوْامَاۗءًحَمِيْمًافَقَطَّعَاَمْعَاۗءَهُمْ) 47. 67. Then, on top of that, they will be given a mixture to drink—boiling water mixed with pus [40].
[40] This was the food of the inhabitants of Hell, and as for their drinks, the state will be such that the washings of wounds, in which pus and blood are all mixed, will be given to drink, and in it boiling hot water will also be added.
