The Literal Meaning of ﴿قصر﴾:
The meaning of ﴿قَصَرَ﴾ is not reaching the length or end of something. It also means to reduce, to make small, or not to do something as much as it should be done, and ﴿قصر الطرف﴾ means not looking as far as the eye can see, or not looking fully, but rather keeping the gaze lowered. After mentioning the food and drink of the people of Paradise, Allah Almighty mentioned their family life, that they will be given women who will not even be willing to look at anyone except their husbands.
[27] ﴿عين﴾ means eye, and ﴿عيناء﴾ refers to a woman whose eyes are large and wide, and the plural of ﴿عيناء﴾ is ﴿عين﴾. Large eyes double the beauty of the face. Thus, the second quality of the women of Paradise will be that their eyes will be large and beautiful.
