The Characteristics of the Sustenance of Paradise:

That is, the sustenance which is mentioned repeatedly in the Book and Sunnah. For example, it will consist of all kinds of fruits that resemble each other, while their taste will be completely distinct from one another. Moreover, they will be provided with everything they desire. One characteristic of this sustenance is that it will be given with honor. Another is that it will never end nor will its supply be interrupted. Another is that the sustenance given to them cannot be fully comprehended in this world, because such things have neither been seen nor heard by anyone, nor can they even be imagined. And above all, that sustenance will be eaten only for the sake of pleasure, not out of hunger. That is, not because, due to toil and labor, some parts of the body have been depleted and need replenishment, or for the sake of survival, that sustenance will be eaten.
