إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ ﴿128﴾
Except the chosen slaves of Allâh.

(Ayah 128){ اِلَّا عِبَادَ اللّٰهِ الْمُخْلَصِيْنَ :} That is, the entire people of Ilyas (peace be upon him) denied him, except for Allah's chosen servants; they did not deny him, rather they believed in him, therefore they were and will remain safe from punishment.

128. Except for the chosen servants of Allah [75].

[75] But the worshippers of Baal did not accept the invitation of Ilyasؑ. They denied the call of their Prophet and became intent on harming him. All such people will certainly receive the punishment for their sins. And those who were saved from this punishment were the ones who believed in Sayyiduna Ilyasؑ and remained obedient to Allah.
