Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 79) ➊ { قُلْ يُحْيِيْهَا الَّذِيْۤ اَنْشَاَهَاۤ … :} That is, the One who created these bones at a time when they did not even exist, then put life into them, He will resurrect them again, because recreating is even easier. Although for this All-Powerful, creating the first time and recreating are equally easy. See Surah Ar-Rum (27).

{ وَ هُوَ بِكُلِّ خَلْقٍ عَلِيْمُ : ’’ خَلْقٍ ‘‘} It can also be a verbal noun, meaning "every kind of creating," and also a passive participle meaning "every creature." If the first meaning is taken, then it means that He knows very well about everything, how to create it, and also how to create it the first time and how to recreate it, so for Him, reviving decayed bones is not difficult at all. If the second meaning is taken, then it means that He knows every single creature, where it is, and after its perishing, where its particles are, so He can gather every particle from its place and resurrect it again. Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: خَشْيَتُكَ فَغَفَرَ لَهُ ] [ بخاري، أحادیث الأنبیاء، باب : ۳۴۸۱ ] "A man used to wrong himself. When his death approached, he said to his sons, 'When I die, burn me, then crush me, then scatter me in the wind, for by Allah! If Allah gets hold of me, He will punish me with a punishment that He has not given to anyone.' So when he died, they did as he had asked. Then Allah commanded the earth, saying, 'Gather whatever is in you of him.' So it did, and he stood up immediately. Allah said, 'What made you do this?' He said, 'O my Lord! Your fear.' So Allah forgave him."

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

79. 1. That is, the One who creates man from a humble drop of fluid, is He not capable of bringing him back to life again? An incident demonstrating His power to resurrect the dead is mentioned in a hadith: A man, at the time of his death, made a will that after his death he should be burned, and half of his ashes should be scattered in the sea and half on land on a windy day. Allah gathered all the ashes and brought him back to life, and asked him, "Why did you do this?" He replied, "Out of fear of You." So Allah forgave him.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

79. Say, "He will give them life Who created them the first time, and He is Knowing of every kind of creation [71]."

The Different Methods of Allah’s Creation:

That is, the way of making a mighty tree stand from a single seed is one form. The way of creating sperm from lifeless food, and then creating animals and humans from that sperm, is another form. And the way of gathering and combining the decayed parts of a dead human and then raising them alive is yet another form. In short, creation in the universe is happening in many forms, and since Allah Himself is the Creator of everything, He fully knows all these methods and forms. And man, who does not and cannot know even a single one of these forms, applies examples to Us according to his own thoughts and limited intellect.
