Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 73) ➊ { وَ لَهُمْ فِيْهَا مَنَافِعُ وَ مَشَارِبُ:} Besides riding and meat, there are many other benefits for humans in these animals, such as making hundreds of things from their skins, fat, horns, hair, and intestines, etc. They are used for farming, their dung is used as fertilizer, and through their buying and selling, every need of life is fulfilled. Through animals, man is also provided with many things to drink, such as their milk and countless things made from milk. See also Surah An-Nahl (5 to 8) and Surah Az-Zukhruf (12 to 14).
{ اَفَلَا يَشْكُرُوْنَ :} That is, all these kinds of favors were bestowed upon man by Allah Almighty, but instead of being grateful to Allah, he offered sacrifices of these very animals at the shrines of others besides Allah and in their names. Animals were set free in their names, even though they had no role in creating these animals or making them subservient to humans. What could be greater ingratitude and disloyalty than this!?

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

73. 1. That is, besides riding and eating, many other benefits are also obtained from them, for example, many things are made from their wool and hair, oil is obtained from their fat, and they are also used for carrying loads and in agriculture.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

73. And from them you obtain many other benefits and drinks. Will they not then give thanks [66]?

[66] All these kinds of favors have been bestowed upon man by Allah Almighty. Now, instead of expressing gratitude to Allah, man offered the sacrifices of these very animals in the names of idols and at shrines. Animals were set free in the names of idols, who had no role whatsoever in the creation of these animals or in making them obedient to man. Can there be any greater ingratitude and disloyalty than this?
