Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 26) ➊ { قِيْلَادْخُلِالْجَنَّةَ :} Here, the intermediate statement is omitted, which is understood automatically: that upon his statement, the people of his nation attacked him and martyred him, so Allah accepted his martyrdom, and as soon as he was martyred, he was given the glad tidings of entering Paradise. For the state of the entry of martyrs into Paradise, see Surah Al-Baqarah (154) and Aal-e-Imran (169 to 171).
➋ { قَالَيٰلَيْتَقَوْمِيْيَعْلَمُوْنَ :} This shows how much that servant was a well-wisher of his people: even in his life, he did not care for his own life while advising his people, and even after his death, his goodwill for them continued. Then, regarding his killers, his wish is that somehow they too may come to know of the honor and respect Allah has granted him, and by knowing this, they too may believe and become deserving of this honor. Indeed, a believer is such a well-wisher. The martyrs of Uhud also expressed this wish after their martyrdom. There is a lesson for us in this: while inviting (to Allah), we should never be overcome by anger or a spirit of revenge, but rather continue the invitation with utmost patience and perseverance.

[28] The Martyrdom of the Truthful Man:
The people were merely issuing threats in response to the messengers’ call, and perhaps they were also afraid that if these really were messengers, some calamity might befall them. But when this truthful man, in a sincere manner, made all the flaws of their deities clear to them, they considered it an insult to themselves and their gods, and an act of disrespect towards their honor, so they immediately killed him. And as soon as he was killed, the angels gave him the glad tidings that Paradise awaits you—enter it. This was because he was a true martyr and had given his life for the sake of Allah’s religion. And regarding martyrs, it is explicitly mentioned in the Quran and authentic hadiths that martyrs go directly to Paradise and are provided sustenance there. Their souls, in the form of green birds, chirp and roam about in the gardens of Paradise.
