Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 6) ➊ { اِنَّالشَّيْطٰنَلَكُمْعَدُوٌّ :} Satan is your enemy; his enmity with you is ancient and will remain eternal until the Day of Judgment, and its basis is envy, and the enmity of the envious never ends. Detailing this in Surah Al-Kahf, it is stated: «وَاِذْقُلْنَالِلْمَلٰٓىِٕكَةِاسْجُدُوْالِاٰدَمَفَسَجَدُوْۤااِلَّاۤاِبْلِيْسَكَانَمِنَالْجِنِّفَفَسَقَعَنْاَمْرِرَبِّهٖاَفَتَتَّخِذُوْنَهٗوَذُرِّيَّتَهٗۤاَوْلِيَآءَمِنْدُوْنِيْوَهُمْلَكُمْعَدُوٌّبِئْسَلِلظّٰلِمِيْنَبَدَلًا »[ الکہف : ۵۰ ] “And when We said to the angels, ‘Prostrate to Adam,’ so they prostrated except Iblis; he was of the jinn, so he disobeyed the command of his Lord. Will you then take him and his descendants as allies instead of Me, while they are your enemies? What a miserable substitute for the wrongdoers is (Satan)!” ➋ { فَاتَّخِذُوْهُعَدُوًّا :} When he is your enemy, then you should always consider him as an enemy; he can never be your well-wisher or friend. Oppose him in your beliefs and actions, in your words and deeds, and in your states—indeed, in everything—and maintain this enmity until death. ➌ {اِنَّمَايَدْعُوْاحِزْبَهٗلِيَكُوْنُوْامِنْاَصْحٰبِالسَّعِيْرِ :} By his group is meant those people who obey him and follow the path he shows. That is, no matter how much Satan outwardly shows goodwill, his purpose is only that, instead of going to Hell alone, he takes his friends along with him. Therefore, never trust his goodwill.

6. Surely Satan is an enemy to you, so take him as an enemy. He only invites his followers so that they may become [10] companions of the Fire.
[10] Therefore, O people! Do not fall for the deception of Satan. Do not obey him in anything. He has been your enemy from the very beginning. Thus, your safety lies in considering him as your enemy. He can never become your friend. No matter how beautifully he presents polytheistic beliefs and innovations, and even if you begin to consider them acts of virtue and the means to success in both worlds, in reality, he is acting with enmity towards you. His primary objective is that he should not go to Hell alone, but rather, he wants to take along with him a large number of jinn and humans as his companions to Hell.
