Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 30) ➊ In { لِيُوَفِّيَهُمْ اُجُوْرَهُمْ وَ يَزِيْدَهُمْ مِّنْ فَضْلِهٖ:’’ لِيُوَفِّيَهُمْ ‘‘}, the "lam" is for consequence, meaning the result of the people of knowledge reciting the Book, establishing prayer, and spending is that Allah will give them their full rewards and will give them even more from His bounty. This "lam" can also be for reason and explanation, meaning the people of knowledge recite the Quran, establish prayer, and spend from what Allah has given them so that He may give them their full rewards and grant them even more from His bounty, as Allah has said: «فَاَمَّا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ فَيُوَفِّيْهِمْ اُجُوْرَهُمْ وَ يَزِيْدُهُمْ مِّنْ فَضْلِهٖ » [ النساء : ۱۷۳ ] "Then those who believed and did righteous deeds, so He will give them their full rewards and will give them even more from His bounty." In giving more from His bounty, it is to increase one good deed up to seven hundred times or even more, then to grant eternal Paradise for the deeds of a few days of life, and then, above all the blessings of Paradise, to grant the greatest blessing of His vision, as He said: « لِلَّذِيْنَ اَحْسَنُوا الْحُسْنٰى وَ زِيَادَةٌ » [ یونس : ۲۶ ] "For those who have done good is the best reward and even more." May Allah include us among those fortunate ones. (Ameen)
{ اِنَّهٗ غَفُوْرٌ شَكُوْرٌ :} That is, the reason is that He is extremely covering of the sins of the believers and greatly appreciative of their good deeds.

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

30. 1. That is, this trade is safe from loss because Allah will grant them full reward for their righteous deeds. Or, it relates to an omitted verb: they perform these righteous deeds for this reason, or Allah guided them towards them so that He may grant them reward.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

30. So that Allah may give them their full reward and even increase them out of His grace. Surely, He is Forgiving and Appreciative [35].

Allah Almighty’s Appreciation of His Servants’ Deeds, Forgiveness for Giving Water to the Thirsty and Removing Thorns from the Path:

That is, Allah’s dealing with His servants is not like that of a narrow-minded master with his servant, who constantly finds fault with his servant but does not value his services. Allah’s dealing with His servants is completely opposite to this. He forgives their minor mistakes and does not even call them to account for them, and for the good deeds a person performs, He grants a reward far greater than their worth. If He likes any act of His servant, He grants him a great reward. Thus, Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah ؓ narrates that the Prophet ﷺ said: “A man saw a dog licking wet mud out of thirst. He took off his sock, filled it with water, and began to give the dog water until it was satisfied. Allah appreciated this act of his and granted him Paradise.” [بخاری۔ کتاب الوضوء۔ باب اذاشرب الکلب فی الاناء]
Also, it is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah ؓ that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Once a man was walking somewhere and saw a thorny branch on the path, so he removed it from the way. Allah greatly liked this act of his and forgave him.” [بخاری۔ کتاب الاذان۔ باب فضل التھجیر الی الظھر]
