ٱلَّذِىٓ أَحْسَنَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقَهُۥ ۖ وَبَدَأَ خَلْقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنِ مِن طِينٍ ﴿7﴾
Who made everything He has created good and He began the creation of man from clay.
ٱلَّذِىٓ alladhī The One Who
أَحْسَنَ aḥsana made good
كُلَّ kulla every
شَىْءٍ shayin thing
خَلَقَهُۥ ۖ khalaqahu He created
وَبَدَأَ wabada-a and He began
خَلْقَ khalqa (the) creation
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنِ l-insāni (of) man
مِن min from
طِينٍۢ ṭīnin clay

(Ayah 7) ➊ { الَّذِيْۤ اَحْسَنَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقَهٗ :} That is, Allah Almighty has created countless things in this magnificent universe, and for whatever purpose He made them, He granted them such a form and appearance that it is impossible to even imagine anything more beautiful and excellent than that.

{وَ بَدَاَ خَلْقَ الْاِنْسَانِ مِنْ طِيْنٍ:} For observing the beauty of everything He created, Allah invited man to reflect upon his own self, saying that you do not need to go anywhere else for this; Allah Almighty began your creation from insignificant clay, in which there was no sign of life. Taking a handful from the entire earth, He made a figure with His own hands and thus created the first human. In {’’ طِيْنٍ ‘‘ }, the tanween is for expressing insignificance.

7-1. That is, whatever Allah has created, since it is the balance of His wisdom and benefit, therefore it has its own beauty and uniqueness. Thus, everything He has created is beautiful, and some have taken the meaning of أَحْسَنَ as أَتْقَنَ and أَحْكَمَ, meaning every thing was made strong and firm. Some have taken it in the sense of أَلْهَمَ, meaning every creature was inspired with those things which it needs.

7-2. That is, the first human, Adam (عليه السلام), was created from clay, from whom the human race began, and his wife Hawwa was created from Adam’s (عليه السلام) left rib, as is known from the ahadith.

The Most Excellent Form and Appearance of Everything in Terms of Purpose:

That is, whatever Allah Almighty has created and for whatever purpose or purposes He has created it, He has granted it such a form and appearance that it is impossible to even imagine a better one. No one can find fault with this form and appearance. For example, the properties that He has placed in water and air, and the purposes for which these things have been created—for those purposes, this very form and appearance was the best. The same is true for every living thing and plant. The form and appearance of nothing is awkward or meaningless. This is the case with the entire human body and each of its organs. For example, Allah made the eye for seeing and the ear for hearing. So, for that purpose, the form that Allah gave to the eye and the ear is both the best and the most beautiful for it.
