Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 29) {قُلْيَوْمَالْفَتْحِلَايَنْفَعُالَّذِيْنَكَفَرُوْۤااِيْمَانُهُمْ … :} That is, you will gain nothing from your question; you should consider the respite you have at this time as a blessing. Because when the Day of Decision arrives, after witnessing the reality with your own eyes, neither will your belief benefit you nor will you be granted any further respite. See Surah Al-Mu’min (84, 85).
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
29-1. By "Yawm al-Fath" is meant the Day of Judgment, the day of final decision in the Hereafter, where faith will not be accepted and no respite will be given. It does not refer to the day of the conquest of Makkah, because on that day the Tulaqa’ accepted Islam, whose number was approximately two thousand (Ibn Kathir). By Tulaqa’ is meant those people of Makkah whom the Prophet ﷺ, on the day of the conquest of Makkah, forgave instead of punishing or disciplining, and set them free by saying that today you will not be punished for your previous oppressive actions. Thus, the majority of them became Muslim.
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
29. Say to them: "On the Day of Decision, the faith of those who disbelieved [30] will not benefit them, nor will they be granted any respite."
[30] That is, the disbelievers always ask: this punishment that is promised to us, or the glad tidings of help and victory given to the believers—why is no fixed time specified for such promises? And specifying such a fixed time is contrary to divine wisdom. Therefore, in response to such questions, the attention of the disbelievers is directed to other aspects that form the basis for action. And this is the true purpose of the Quran. Here too, the answer to this question is given in the same manner: consider the respite you currently have as a blessing, for when the Day of Decision arrives, neither will your acceptance of Islam be of any benefit, nor will you be granted any further respite. You will not have the opportunity to recover, so stop being anxious for it. However, if you can think about what is beneficial for you, then do so.
