Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 15){ اِنَّمَايُؤْمِنُبِاٰيٰتِنَاالَّذِيْنَاِذَاذُكِّرُوْابِهَا … :} That is, those people who, out of arrogance, have forgotten even Our meeting, they never believe in Our signs. Only those people believe in Our signs whose qualities are completely different from those who forget the meeting with their Lord. There is no stubbornness, obstinacy, or enmity in their hearts. Their nature is so sound that when they are admonished with the signs of Allah, they immediately accept the truth and fall in prostration before Allah. They glorify their Lord with His praise and they do not show arrogance. The pride of their souls does not prevent them from accepting the truth and obeying Allah and His Messenger. It is narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite this supplication in his bowing and prostration: [ سُبْحَانَكَاللّٰهُمَّرَبَّنَاوَبِحَمْدِكَ،اَللّٰهُمَّاغْفِرْلِيْ ] "Glory is to You, O Allah! O our Lord! And with Your praise. O Allah! Forgive me." [ بخاري، الأذان، باب الدعاء في الرکوع : ۷۹۴ ]
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
15-1. That is, they affirm and benefit from them.
15-2. That is, they honor Allah’s verses and fear His punishment.
15-3. That is, they declare their Lord free from those things which do not befit His majesty, and along with that, they praise Him for His blessings, the greatest and most complete of which is the guidance to faith. That is, in their prostrations, they recite words such as سُبْحَاناللّٰہِوَبِحَمْدِہٖ, سُبْحَانَرَبِّیَالْاَعٰلٰیوَبَحَمْدِہٖ, etc.
15-4. That is, they adopt the path of obedience and submission. They do not act arrogantly like the ignorant and disbelievers. Because arrogance towards the worship of Allah is a cause for entering Hell. Therefore, the condition of the believers is the opposite; they always express humility, lowliness, destitution, and submissiveness before Allah.
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
15. Only those believe in Our verses who, when they are reminded of them, fall down in prostration [17] and glorify the praise of their Lord, and they are not arrogant.
[17] The qualities of those who believe are completely different from those who deny. There is no stubbornness, obstinacy, or enmity in their hearts; their natures are so pure that they are immediately ready to accept the truth. There is not a trace of arrogance or pride in them. Rather, when the wonders and acts of Allah are mentioned to them, their hearts tremble at the greatness of Allah, and they are immediately ready to accept the truth. Then they fall in prostration before Allah, and their tongues are filled with the praise, glorification, and sanctification of Allah. There is a prostration (sajdah) at this verse. Those who read or listen to it should perform sajdah here, so that they too may be included among those qualities which Allah has described for the believers. And Hazrat Abu Hurairah ؓ says that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite: ﴿الم تنزِيل السجدة﴾ and ﴿هَلْاَتٰيعَلَيالْاِنْسَانِ﴾ in the Fajr prayer on Fridays.
