Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: [ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلّی اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ سَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْجُمُعَةِ فِيْ صَلاَةِ الْفَجْرِ : « الٓمّٓ (1) تَنْزِيْلُ » [ السجدة] And: «{ هَلْ اَتٰى عَلَى الْاِنْسَانِ [الدهر ] ] [ بخاري، الجمعۃ، باب ما یقرأ في صلاۃ الفجر یوم الجمعۃ : ۸۹۱ ] "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite Surah As-Sajdah and Surah Ad-Dahr in the Fajr prayer on Friday."
( Ayah 2,1 ) See the first verse of Surah Al-Baqarah regarding {الٓمّٓ (1)تَنْزِيْلُ الْكِتٰبِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيْهِ مِنْ رَّبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ:’’ الٓمّٓ ‘‘}. In {’’ الْكِتٰبِ ‘‘}, the Alif Lam is for the definite article, therefore the translation is "this Book." {’’ مِنْ رَّبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ ‘‘ ’’ تَنْزِيْلُ الْكِتٰبِ ‘‘} is the predicate. The sentence {’’ لَا رَيْبَ فِيْهِ ‘‘} is parenthetical or an attribute of {’’ الْكِتٰبِ ‘‘}, or it is a circumstantial qualifier from it. In the verse, two things are mentioned about the Noble Qur'an: one is that this Book has been sent down from the Lord of the worlds, and the second is that there is no doubt in it. The absence of doubt means that everything stated in it is certain, there is no room for doubt in any matter, and it also means that there is no doubt in its being sent down from the Lord of the worlds. If anyone has a doubt, Allah Almighty has also explained the way to remove it, He said: «{ وَ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ فِيْ رَيْبٍ مِّمَّا نَزَّلْنَا عَلٰى عَبْدِنَا فَاْتُوْا بِسُوْرَةٍ مِّنْ مِّثْلِهٖ وَ ادْعُوْا شُهَدَآءَكُمْ مِّنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صٰدِقِيْنَ [ البقرۃ : ۲۳ ] "And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down upon Our servant, then produce a surah like it and call your supporters other than Allah, if you are truthful." The reality is that the Noble Qur'an is the greatest miracle that was given to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), before which all creation is powerless.
