أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ عَلَىٰ هُدًى مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ ۖ وَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ ﴿5﴾
Such are on guidance from their Lord, and such are the successful.
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ ulāika Those
عَلَىٰ ʿalā (are) on
هُدًۭى hudan guidance
مِّن min from
رَّبِّهِمْ ۖ rabbihim their Lord
وَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ wa-ulāika and those
هُمُ humu [they]
ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ l-muf'liḥūna (are) the successful

5. These are the ones who are on the right path from their Lord [3], and it is they who will be successful.

[3] At this place, the same three qualities of the Muhsineen are mentioned as those of the Muttaqeen in Surah Al-Baqarah, which are mentioned here: establishment of prayer, giving of zakat, and belief in the Hereafter. That is, whoever possesses at least these three qualities, there can be no doubt about their being on the right path nor about their attaining success.
