ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْحَقُّ وَأَنَّ مَا يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ ٱلْبَـٰطِلُ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْعَلِىُّ ٱلْكَبِيرُ ﴿30﴾
That is because Allâh, He is the Truth, and that which they invoke besides Him is Al-Bâtil (falsehood, Satan and all other false deities); and that Allâh, He is the Most High, the Most Great.
ذَٰلِكَ dhālika That
بِأَنَّ bi-anna (is) because
ٱللَّهَ l-laha Allah
هُوَ huwa He
ٱلْحَقُّ l-ḥaqu (is) the Truth
وَأَنَّ wa-anna and that
مَا what
يَدْعُونَ yadʿūna they call
مِن min besides Him
دُونِهِ dūnihi besides Him
ٱلْبَـٰطِلُ l-bāṭilu (is) [the] falsehood
وَأَنَّ wa-anna and that
ٱللَّهَ l-laha Allah
هُوَ huwa He
ٱلْعَلِىُّ l-ʿaliyu (is) the Most High
ٱلْكَبِيرُ l-kabīru the Most Great

(Ayah 30) ➊ { ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ الْحَقُّ :} That is, all this Allah Almighty has stated so that you may know that He alone is the Truth, the real Doer and Possessor of Will, because He is eternal and everlasting, has always existed and will always remain, and in His existence, He is not dependent on anyone.

{وَ اَنَّ مَا يَدْعُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِهِ الْبَاطِلُ :} And besides Him, whatever the polytheists worship are all false; they have no existence whatsoever. Here, there is no Lat, no Manat, no Data, no Dastgir, no Ganj Bakhsh, no Gharib Nawaz. All are creations of the imagination and delusion of these polytheists, and they have assumed on their own that such and such person has some share in divinity and possesses powers to remove difficulties and fulfill needs, whereas in reality, none of them possesses any divine powers, nor is it rightful to call upon or seek help from any of them. See Surah Yunus (66) and Surah Najm (19–23).

➌ These verses also refute the materialists who consider this universe to be eternal and everlasting, and the polytheists who have made mortal things their deities.

{ وَ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْكَبِيْرُ :} That is, He is exalted above everything in the universe, and in greatness as well, He is greater than everything in the universe. The combination of these two attributes is found in {’’ ثُمَّ اسْتَوٰي عَلٰي الْعَرْشِ ‘‘}. In this, there is also a clear indication that since exaltedness and greatness are the attributes of Allah alone, then in comparison, all creation is lowly, helpless, and insignificant, the meaning of which is conveyed by the word "abd" (slave/servant). He said: «{ اِنْ كُلُّ مَنْ فِي السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضِ اِلَّاۤ اٰتِي الرَّحْمٰنِ عَبْدًا [ مریم : ۹۳ ] "Whoever is in the heavens and the earth will come to the Most Merciful as a slave." What greater injustice could there be than to consider the powers of this Most High and Most Great to belong to the beings He created, who are His slaves and utterly lowly, helpless, and insignificant before Him!?

30-1. That is, these arrangements or signs, Allah Almighty manifests for you so that you may understand that the One who runs the system of the universe is only Allah, by whose command and will everything happens, and besides Him, all else is false, meaning no one has any authority whatsoever, rather, all are dependent on Him because all are His creation and under His control. None among them has the power to move even a particle (Ibn Kathir).

30-2. There is none more exalted in status than Him, nor is there anyone greater than Him. In the face of His greatness, majesty, knowledge, rank, and grandeur, everything else is insignificant and lowly.

30. That is because Allah alone is the Truth, and whatever they invoke besides Him is falsehood [40]. And Allah alone is the Most High, the Most Great [41].

[40] That is, the proof of Allah Almighty being the true deity is that He has established the system of night and day, and this system is so intricate that its study itself makes it clear that only a being of perfect power and wisdom could establish such a system. The sun and the moon are also a part of this system. Now the question is: the things that people have made deities besides Allah and call upon them—what have they created that they should also be considered worthy of divinity and partnership? And if the answer is in the negative, then it means that these deities are utterly false.
[41] That is, He is exalted above everything in the universe and greater than everything in the universe in greatness, and the combination of these two attributes is found in ﴿ثُمَّ اسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ﴾. There is also a subtle indication in this that, in comparison to Allah’s attributes, the servant should have utmost humility and submissiveness (which is, in fact, the meaning of worship) only for Allah.
