And whoever disbelieves, let not his disbelief grieve you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم). To Us is their return, and We shall inform them what they have done. Verily, Allâh is the All-Knower of what is in the breasts (of men).

Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 23) ➊ { وَمَنْكَفَرَفَلَايَحْزُنْكَكُفْرُهٗ … :} In this, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and every caller to Islam after him have been given comfort that whoever insists on disbelief despite our invitation and message reaching him, do not be saddened by his disbelief. Your duty was to convey the message, which you have done. Now they have to return to Us, so We will inform them of all that they did. In this, there is a severe warning for the disbelievers. ➋ { اِنَّاللّٰهَعَلِيْمٌۢبِذَاتِالصُّدُوْرِ:} Some of the disbelief of the disbelievers was open, and some was hidden in their hearts. It is said that Allah Almighty has complete knowledge of what is in the hearts; He will also recompense them for that. Similarly, if someone outwardly professes Islam but harbors disbelief in his heart, Allah Almighty is fully aware of that as well; He Himself will deal with him.

23-1. This is because the blessing of faith is not destined for them. Your effort is valid in its own place and your desire is also commendable, but Allah's decree and will prevail over everything.
23-2. That is, He will give recompense for their deeds.
23-3. Thus, nothing can remain hidden from Him.
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani

Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
And whoever disbelieves, let not his disbelief grieve you [31]. To Us is their return, and We will inform them of what they did. Surely, Allah knows well what is within the hearts.
[31] That is, the person who rejects your call thinks that by rejecting your ﷺ invitation, he has harmed you and Islam, whereas the reality is the opposite. In fact, he is only harming himself. And you ﷺ should not be saddened by this matter. You ﷺ should continue your work of invitation by placing your trust in Allah. We will deal with these deniers. Let them display their arrogance and enjoy themselves for a few days. In the end, they have to return to Us. They cannot escape Our grasp.
