Translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan & Dr. Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
And indeed We have set forth for mankind, in this Qur’ân every kind of parable. But if you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) bring to them any sign or proof (as an evidence for the truth of your Prophethood), the disbelievers are sure to say (to the believers): "You follow nothing but falsehood, and magic."

Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 58) ➊ { وَلَقَدْضَرَبْنَالِلنَّاسِفِيْهٰذَاالْقُرْاٰنِمِنْكُلِّمَثَلٍ :} At the end of the surah, it is stated that We have presented every kind of example as evidence for Our existence, Our oneness, Our power, the creation of the universe, and its recreation, and the Messenger has fulfilled his duty. After this, if anyone demands any further miracle, he does so out of stubbornness and hostility, because when a person rejects a clear proof, it is not difficult for him to reject other proofs as well. ➋ {وَلَىِٕنْجِئْتَهُمْبِاٰيَةٍلَّيَقُوْلَنَّالَّذِيْنَكَفَرُوْۤا … :} Therefore, it is stated that even if you bring them any miracle, they will say, "You are nothing but liars." For verses with similar meaning, see Surah Al-An'am (111) and Yunus (96, 97).
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
58-1 From which the affirmation of Allah's oneness and the truthfulness of the messengers becomes clear, and likewise, the refutation of shirk and the manifestation of its falsehood become evident.
58-2 Whether it is any proof presented by the Noble Quran or any miracle, etc., according to their wishes.
58-3 That is, followers of magic, etc. The meaning is that even if they see the greatest sign and the clearest proof, still they will by no means believe. Why? Its reason has been stated ahead: that Allah has set a seal upon their hearts, which is a sign that their disbelief and rebellion have reached the ultimate limit, after which all paths of return to the truth are closed for them.
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
58. Indeed, We have set forth every kind of example for people in this Qur'an [64]. And if you bring them a sign, the disbelievers will surely say, "You are only fabricators."
[64] That is, through the Quran, people have been warned about every kind of situation that will occur in the second life after death. Even now, if some unfortunate person wants to remain heedless of his end, that is his choice. Allah has completed the argument against people in every way, and the state of these unfortunate ones has become such that even if you show them a tangible miracle, they will say that this too seems to be some trickery and deception which the Prophet and his followers have presented before the people in collusion, and that they are simply confirming and endorsing each other to fool others.
