And you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) cannot guide the blind from their straying; you can make to hear only those who believe in Our Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and have submitted to Allâh in Islâm (as Muslims).

(Ayah 53) {وَمَاۤاَنْتَبِهٰدِالْعُمْيِعَنْضَلٰلَتِهِمْ … :} Here, by "the blind" are meant those who are blind of heart, whom it is not within your power to bring out of misguidance and onto the path of salvation, nor is it your responsibility to do so. See Surah An-Naml (80, 81).

53-1. This is because they are deprived of benefiting from the eyes as they should or from insight (the vision of the heart). How can they escape from the swamp of misguidance in which they are trapped?
53-2. That is, these are the ones who, upon hearing, bring faith, because they are people of reflection and contemplation, and they attain recognition of the True Cause from the signs of power.
53-3. That is, those who bow their heads in submission before the truth and are its followers.

Nor can you guide the blind out of their error. You can only make those hear who believe in Our signs [58], and they submit.
