Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 70){لِمَ تَكْفُرُوْنَ بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ …:} By the signs of Allah are meant the glad tidings of the Prophethood of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) which were transmitted from the previous prophets. The Jews considered them authentic but did not accept them. By the signs of Allah, along with the verses containing the glad tidings about the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), other verses containing beliefs, rulings, etc., can also be meant, that is, those people not only regarding him (peace be upon him) but also other verses, despite considering them as the word of Allah, did not believe in them.

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. 70. 1. The meaning of "قائل" is that you have knowledge of the truthfulness and authenticity of the Noble Prophet ﷺ.
