Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

6. 1. Whether beautiful or ugly, male or female, fortunate or unfortunate, imperfectly formed or perfectly formed—when all these dispositions in the womb are carried out only by Allah, then how can ‘Isa (peace be upon him) be Allah, when he himself also passed through this very stage of creation to come into the world, the process of which Allah has established in the womb?

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

6. He is the One who shapes you in the wombs as He wills [5]. There is no god except Him. He is the Mighty, the Wise.

Allah’s Perfect Power in the Creation of Man:

That is, He brings the sperm through several stages and creates it in the form of a human being, and such is the state of His perfect power that millions and billions of humans have been born in the world, yet no one’s appearance is completely identical to another’s. The fundamental differences are of only three types: difference in color, difference in stature, and difference in features. But merely through these three types of differences, to grant each of the billions of humans a distinct appearance is an achievement of the perfect power of the One without partner. And the demand of His perfect wisdom is that from the establishment of pregnancy to all subsequent stages, He has arranged to fulfill even the smallest needs of the embryo, and after birth, He has provided all that is needed for the upbringing of its body and soul. In the previous verse, it was stated that nothing is hidden from Allah. This was, in a way, a claim, the proof of which is given in this verse: the Being who is capable of nurturing the embryo in the darkness of the womb—can anything be hidden from Him? In this verse, the physical needs are mentioned, and in the next verse, the spiritual needs of man are discussed.
