Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 175) The person who was spreading these rumors was called Satan, and it was explained that he is frightening with his disbelieving and hypocrite friends. Muslims should not harbor fear of anyone except Allah Almighty in their hearts. The real Satan also keeps inspiring new ways in the hearts of his human companion Satans to frighten the Muslims. See Surah Al-An'am (__XREF_112__). Nowadays, newspapers, radio, TV, and the internet are tools of Satan for spreading lies and causing fear. A believer should trust in Allah instead of fearing their news, and should also counter them according to { ”اَلْحَرْبُ خُدْعَةٌ“}.

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

175. 1. That is, he puts you in this suspicion and delusion that they are very strong and powerful.
175. 2. That is, when he puts you in this delusion, then you should rely only on Me and turn only to Me; I will suffice you and I will be your Helper, as stated in another place (اَلَيْسَ اللّٰهُ بِكَافٍ عَبْدَهٗ ۭ) 39:36 Is Allah not sufficient for His servant?

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

175. It is only Satan who frightens you of his allies (the army of disbelievers). So do not fear them [173], but fear Me, if you are believers.

[173] It has already been mentioned that Abu Sufyan himself challenged for a confrontation in the field of Badr the year after the Battle of Uhud. But later, he lost courage himself and, in order to place the blame on the Muslims and to frighten and terrorize them, he bribed a man named Nu'aym bin Mas'ud to go to Madinah and tell the Muslims that Abu Sufyan had resolved to prepare such a massive army that it would be sufficient to face all of Arabia. In this way, the Muslims would become fearful themselves and abandon the intention of coming to Badr for the confrontation. Allah Almighty has described this whole drama as a satanic ploy. Here, "Satan" can refer to Abu Sufyan or to Nu'aym bin Mas'ud, and the Muslims are being instructed not to fear any tyrannical power besides Me.
