إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَن تُغْنِىَ عَنْهُمْ أَمْوَٰلُهُمْ وَلَآ أَوْلَـٰدُهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيْـًٔا ۖ وَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمْ وَقُودُ ٱلنَّارِ ﴿10﴾
Verily, those who disbelieve, neither their properties nor their offspring will avail them whatsoever against Allâh; and it is they who will be fuel of the Fire.
إِنَّ inna Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ alladhīna those who
كَفَرُوا۟ kafarū disbelieve[d]
لَن lan never
تُغْنِىَ tugh'niya will avail
عَنْهُمْ ʿanhum [for] them
أَمْوَٰلُهُمْ amwāluhum their wealth
وَلَآ walā and not
أَوْلَـٰدُهُم awlāduhum their children
مِّنَ mina against
ٱللَّهِ l-lahi Allah
شَيْـًۭٔا ۖ shayan anything
وَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ wa-ulāika and those
هُمْ hum they (are)
وَقُودُ waqūdu (the) fuel
ٱلنَّارِ l-nāri (for) the Fire

(Ayah 11,10) {”كَدَاْبِ اٰلِ فِرْعَوْنَ“} For its composition, see Surah Al-Anfal (52, 54), that is, just as the kind of punishment was given to the people of Pharaoh and previous nations because of denying the messengers, the same kind of punishment will be given to these disbelievers who possess wealth and children. Here, these disbelievers may refer to the delegation of Najran, the Jews, the polytheists of Arabia, and all other disbelievers as well. (Shawkani)
