And (remember) the Day (Allâh) will call to them, and say: "What answer gave you to the Messengers?"

(Ayah 65) {وَيَوْمَيُنَادِيْهِمْفَيَقُوْلُمَاذَاۤاَجَبْتُمُالْمُرْسَلِيْنَ :} This is the second question which is about prophethood: when My messengers conveyed My message to you and guided you to follow it, what answer did you give them? The first question was about tawheed; these are the two questions that will be asked in the grave, that is, "{مَنْرَبُّكَ}?" "Who is your Lord?" and "{مَنْنَبِيُّكَ}?" "Who is your Prophet?" And the third question is, "{مَادِيْنُكَ}?" "What is your religion?" The believer's answer will be: {’’ رَبِّيَاللّٰهُوَنَبِيِّيْمُحَمَّدٌصَلَّياللّٰهُعَلَيْهِوَسَلَّمَوَدِيْنِيَالْإِسْلَامُ‘‘} "My Lord is Allah, my Prophet is Muhammad (peace be upon him), and my religion is Islam." 65-1 In the previous verses, the question was about Tawheed; this second call is regarding Messengership, that is, We sent Messengers to you—how did you treat them, did you accept their call? Just as in the grave the question is asked: Who is your Prophet? What is your religion? The believer gives the correct answer, but the disbeliever says, I do not know anything. In the same way, on the Day of Resurrection, they will not be able to think of an answer to this question. That is why it is further stated: all news will become blind to them, meaning no evidence will come to their understanding that they can present. Here, by referring to arguments as "ahbar," it is indicated that in reality, they have no evidence for their false beliefs, only stories and tales, just as even today, grave-worshippers have nothing but fabricated tales of miracles.

And on that Day Allah will call them and ask: "What answer did you give to the messengers?" [89]
[89] The first question to the polytheists was about Tawheed. Now this question will be about the message of Messengership. That is, the matter was not just that both the worshippers and the worshipped were going astray by following their desires. Rather, the messengers had, in due time, clearly explained to them the difference between guidance and misguidance. So, did you people accept the words of these messengers?
