Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 64) {وَقِيْلَادْعُوْاشُرَكَآءَكُمْ … :} That is, first it will be said to them: Where are My partners whom you used to claim? Before they are able to give any answer, it will be said to them: Call your partners for help. They will call them, but they will not respond to them. At that moment, in despair, they will wish, "If only we had accepted guidance in the world." Some commentators have explained its meaning as follows: When the devils and the polytheists mention the names of Allah's righteous servants as their partners, it will be said to them: Call your partners. They will not give any answer, because they were neither aware of their polytheistic acts nor pleased with them. At that very moment, by Allah's command, Hell will be brought and placed before them, so they will be certain that they are about to be thrown into it. See Surah Al-Kahf (52, 53).

The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
64-1. That is, seek help from them, just as you used to do in the world—will they help you? So they will call out, but who there will have the courage to say, "Yes, we will help you"?
64-2. That is, they will be convinced that all of us are going to become fuel for Hell.
64-3. That is, after seeing the punishment, they will wish that if only they had adopted the path of guidance in the world, then today they would have been saved from this fate. (وَيَوْمَيَقُوْلُنَادُوْاشُرَكَاۗءِيَالَّذِيْنَزَعَمْتُمْفَدَعَوْهُمْفَلَمْيَسْتَجِيْبُوْالَهُمْوَجَعَلْنَابَيْنَهُمْمَّوْبِقًا 52 وَرَاَالْمُجْرِمُوْنَالنَّارَفَظَنُّوْٓااَنَّهُمْمُّوَاقِعُوْهَاوَلَمْيَجِدُوْاعَنْهَامَصْرِفًا 53) 18. Al-Kahf: 53-52) this subject has also been mentioned.

And it will be said to them: "Now call upon your partners (for help)." So they will call upon them, but they will not respond [88] to them, and they will all see the punishment. If only they had been guided!
[88] The First Question to the Polytheists Will Be About Shirk, and the Second About Messengership:
After these deities present their excuse, Allah Almighty will again say to the polytheists: Even today, call upon your deities for help. But those deities, who have already declared their disassociation from them, will not be able to give them any answer. The real reason for this will be that both the worshippers and the worshipped will be seeing their own end. At that moment, all these individuals will cry out in deep regret: Alas! If only we had chosen the path of guidance in the world.
