So We seized him and his hosts, and We threw them all into the sea (and drowned them). So behold (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) what was the end of the Zâlimûn [wrong-doers, polytheists and those who disbelieved in the Oneness of their Lord (Allâh), or rejected the advice of His Messenger Mûsâ (Moses) عليه السلام].

(Ayah 40) ➊ { فَاَخَذْنٰهُوَجُنُوْدَهٗفَنَبَذْنٰهُمْفِيالْيَمِّ: ’’ نَبَذَيَنْبِذُ ‘‘} To throw down. At this point, many intermediate events have been omitted, which are mentioned in other places; here, only the outcome has been reported. In these words, Allah has depicted their worthlessness in contrast to their false arrogance: those who considered themselves to be something great, when the respite given to them by Allah to come to the right path ended, they were thrown into the sea like rubbish. ➋ { فَانْظُرْكَيْفَكَانَعَاقِبَةُالظّٰلِمِيْنَ:} In this, every person who seeks a lesson is directed to take heed from their outcome, that the same fate will befall those who deny the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him.

40-1. That is, when their disbelief and rebellion exceeded all limits and in no way were they willing to accept faith, then finally one morning We drowned them in the sea.

So We seized Pharaoh and his armies and cast them into the sea. So see how was the end of the wrongdoers.
[52] The Fate of Pharaoh:
At this point, many events in between have been omitted, which are mentioned at numerous other places. Here, only the news of their fate is given—what happened to these oppressors and those who sought greatness in the land. In what helpless state they died, with what regrets in their hearts they passed away, and how, at the time of death, they could not even speak a word to anyone.
