Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 37) ➊ { وَ قَالَ مُوْسٰى رَبِّيْۤ اَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ جَآءَ بِالْهُدٰى …:} The commentators say that apparently, after quoting Pharaoh’s statement, only {’’ قَالَ ‘‘} was sufficient to quote the statement of Musa (peace be upon him); there was no need for the “waaw” (and), but to compare the statements of both, Allah Almighty mentioned the “waaw” (and), that Pharaoh said this and Musa (peace be upon him) said that.

➋ The statement of Musa (peace be upon him) is a beautiful example of acting upon the instruction of Allah Almighty, which He gave when sending him to Pharaoh. He said: «{ فَقُوْلَا لَهٗ قَوْلًا لَّيِّنًا لَّعَلَّهٗ يَتَذَكَّرُ اَوْ يَخْشٰى [ طٰہٰ : ۴۴ ] “So speak to him gently, perhaps he may take heed or fear.” In response to Pharaoh’s stubbornness, instead of calling him a liar or saying anything harsh, he adopted a gentle tone and said that my Lord knows best who has come with guidance from Him and whose end will be good in this home. Yes! No one can deny this reality that the wrongdoers never succeed. This is similar to what Allah Almighty said: «{ قُلْ مَنْ يَّرْزُقُكُمْ مِّنَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضِ قُلِ اللّٰهُ وَ اِنَّاۤ اَوْ اِيَّاكُمْ لَعَلٰى هُدًى اَوْ فِيْ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِيْنٍ (24) قُلْ لَّا تُسْـَٔلُوْنَ عَمَّاۤ اَجْرَمْنَا وَ لَا نُسْـَٔلُ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُوْنَ (25) قُلْ يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَنَا رَبُّنَا ثُمَّ يَفْتَحُ بَيْنَنَا بِالْحَقِّ وَ هُوَ الْفَتَّاحُ الْعَلِيْمُ [ سبا : ۲۴ تا ۲۶ ] “Say, who provides for you from the heavens and the earth? Say, Allah. And indeed, either we or you are upon guidance or in clear error. Say, you will not be asked about what we committed, nor will we be asked about what you do. Say, our Lord will gather us together, then He will judge between us in truth, and He is the best judge, the All-Knowing.”

{ عَاقِبَةُ الدَّارِ:} Al-Alusi said: {’’ الدَّارِ ‘‘} (this home) refers to the world; its good end is such a conclusion that takes a person, by Allah’s grace and mercy, to Paradise.”

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

37-1. That is, Allah knows better about guidance than me and you, so whatever comes from Allah will be correct, or that of you and your forefathers?.

37-2. By good outcome is meant becoming deserving of Allah’s pleasure, mercy, and forgiveness in the Hereafter, and this entitlement will only be given to the people of Tawheed.

37-3. By oppressors are meant the polytheists and disbelievers, because the meaning of ظلم is: وضع الشئ فی غیر محلہ — to place something out of its proper place. Polytheists also place those who are not deserving at the position of divinity. Similarly, disbelievers remain unaware of the true position of the Lord. Therefore, these people are the greatest oppressors and they will be deprived of success, that is, of Allah’s mercy and forgiveness in the Hereafter. From this verse, it is also understood that true success is only the success of the Hereafter. Prosperity and abundance of wealth and resources in the world is not true success, which clearly means that true success is only the success of the Hereafter, not the temporary worldly prosperity and abundance of a few days.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
