Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 86) {اَلَمْيَرَوْااَنَّاجَعَلْنَاالَّيْلَلِيَسْكُنُوْافِيْهِ …:} When the Resurrection was mentioned, as evidence for it, the night’s sleep and darkness were mentioned, which is a kind of death, and the day’s awakening and brightness were mentioned, which is life. (See Zumar: 42) That is, have they not seen that this cycle of death and life comes before their eyes every day, rather, it passes over their own selves, in which there are also the blessings of rest and the seeking of sustenance for them. These two signs alone are sufficient for those people who want to believe in the Resurrection.

86. Do they not reflect that We made the night for them to rest in and the day bright (so they may work)? Surely in this are many signs [91] for people who believe.
[91] That is, in the coming and going of day and night, and their constant alternation, there are countless signs for those who reflect. These signs point to the oneness of Allah Almighty. And these are signs that every person can observe at all times. Have you ever thought about how these days and nights are created? Sometimes the nights become long and sometimes the days, and sometimes the opposite happens. Then, have you ever reflected on the changes of seasons and what is the relationship between the sun and your earth? Establishing such a magnificent relationship and then maintaining control over this system at all times—was all this a matter of coincidence, or is there a powerful being running this system? And how many of your interests are connected to this system! The body's components that are broken down from the body during a day’s work and the fatigue that sets in—all of it is restored at night, and in the morning, a person rises refreshed and his fatigue is gone. Moreover, such a coherent and wise system can only remain established if there is only one being who creates, runs, and controls it, or could several beings together run such a wise and coherent system? If you had reflected on this very matter of night and day, you could have attained guidance.
