Verily, those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have made their deeds fair-seeming to them, so that they wander about blindly.

(Ayah 4) {اِنَّالَّذِيْنَلَايُؤْمِنُوْنَ …:} After mentioning that the Quran is guidance and glad tidings for the believers, those people are mentioned who do not believe in the Hereafter, that We have made their deeds fair-seeming to them, meaning they have been given this punishment for their disbelief, as He said: «{ وَنُقَلِّبُاَفْـِٕدَتَهُمْوَاَبْصَارَهُمْكَمَالَمْيُؤْمِنُوْابِهٖۤاَوَّلَمَرَّةٍوَّنَذَرُهُمْفِيْطُغْيَانِهِمْيَعْمَهُوْنَ }»[ الأنعام : ۱۱۰ ] “And We will turn their hearts and their eyes away, just as they did not believe in it the first time, and We will leave them in their transgression, wandering blindly.” Or the result of their disbelief is that they became engrossed in the world and made it the center of all their efforts, meaning the punishment for not believing in the Hereafter is that a person begins to consider even his evil deeds as good, as He said: «{ قُلْهَلْنُنَبِّئُكُمْبِالْاَخْسَرِيْنَاَعْمَالًا (103) اَلَّذِيْنَضَلَّسَعْيُهُمْفِيالْحَيٰوةِالدُّنْيَاوَهُمْيَحْسَبُوْنَاَنَّهُمْيُحْسِنُوْنَصُنْعًا (104) اُولٰٓىِٕكَالَّذِيْنَكَفَرُوْابِاٰيٰتِرَبِّهِمْوَلِقَآىِٕهٖفَحَبِطَتْاَعْمَالُهُمْفَلَانُقِيْمُلَهُمْيَوْمَالْقِيٰمَةِوَزْنًا (105) ذٰلِكَجَزَآؤُهُمْجَهَنَّمُبِمَاكَفَرُوْاوَاتَّخَذُوْۤااٰيٰتِيْوَرُسُلِيْهُزُوًا }»[الکہف : ۱۰۳ تا ۱۰۶ ] “Say, shall We inform you of the greatest losers in respect of deeds? Those whose effort is lost in worldly life while they think that they are doing good work. Those are the ones who denied the signs of their Lord and the meeting with Him, so their deeds have become worthless, and We will not assign to them on the Day of Resurrection any weight. That is their recompense—Hell—for what they denied and took My signs and My messengers in ridicule.”

4-1. This is the consequence and recompense of sins that evils appear good to them, and the fundamental reason for this is the lack of faith in the Hereafter. Its attribution to Allah is because every action occurs only by His will; however, in this too, Allah's same principle is at work: the path of goodness is made easy for the righteous, and the path of evil is made easy for the wicked. But choosing either of these two paths depends on the person's own will.
4-2. That is, the reality of the path of misguidance on which they are walking is not known to them, and they do not receive guidance towards the right path.

4. As for those who do not believe in the Hereafter, We have made their deeds seem fair to them, so they wander blindly [4].
[4] That is, those who believe in Allah but do not believe in the Hereafter determine their standard of good and evil only by the results that appear or can appear in this world. Therefore, their lives are not bound by any principle; whatever action they see as personally beneficial, that is what they consider good. They have no concern for the benefit or harm of others. All the corruption in the world occurs due to denial or forgetfulness of the Hereafter and accountability. And the interesting thing is that such people, who are enamored with the world, begin to see their own self-serving actions as good, and they think that the way of life they have adopted is the best and most excellent.
