➋ The meaning of ḥukm is judgment, that is, O Lord! Grant me all the things required for making decisions, that is, complete knowledge of Your religion by which correct decisions are made, then correct understanding of every matter, then the authority with which the decision is enforced.
➌ {وَّ اَلْحِقْنِيْ بِالصّٰلِحِيْنَ:} That is, grant me the companionship of righteous friends and companions in this world, and unite me with them in the Hereafter as well. Yusuf (peace be upon him) also made this supplication: «{ تَوَفَّنِيْ مُسْلِمًا وَّ اَلْحِقْنِيْ بِالصّٰلِحِيْنَ }» [ یوسف : ۱۰۱ ] "Cause me to die as a Muslim and join me with the righteous." And our Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) also made this supplication at the last moment: [ اَللّٰهُمَّ فِي الرَّفِيْقِ الْأَعْلٰی ] "(O Allah!) [59] After mentioning the above attributes of Allah Almighty, Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) turns to Allah in supplication. His first prayer is: O Allah, grant me sound judgment and religious insight, increase me in knowledge, and grant me the company of righteous people, both in this world and in the Hereafter. Everyone knows how much pain and mental anguish a fortunate and virtuous person feels if he gets trapped in bad company in this world. Therefore, everyone should strive and also keep praying to be blessed with the companionship of righteous people. And in the Hereafter, Allah Almighty will surely unite the righteous with the righteous. However, one should always pray for this blessing. Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) also made such a prayer, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ also made this prayer at the time of his passing. ﴿اللهم الرفيق الاعلي﴾
